Dear Siblings in Christ,
 
This Sunday after worship, we will gather for another congregational meeting about property discernment. At this meeting, we will have a facilitated discussion about the four possibilities open to us for a property sale to Habitat for Humanity and GROW-NW this fall. The four options include:

  • MOU as is: sell the south half of the property to Habitat for Humanity and nothing to GROW-NW
  • Simple South: sell the P Patch to GROW-NW and the rest of the south half to Habitat
  • South Puzzle Piece: sell the P Patch to GROW-NW and the rest of the south half plus space just south of the parsonage to Habitat
  • West: sell the P Patch to GROW-NW and sell the west half of the property to Habitat

 
As you know, each option comes with trade-offs which are important to consider. After this discussion, the following Tuesday, Leadership Board will make a decision about which option will best serve our church for the future. On October 11, that decision will be presented to the congregation and a straw poll will be taken. If we are ready, a vote approving the new direction will be held at our All Church Conference, scheduled for October 25.
