Environmental Ministries at Haller Lake UMC include:
- celebrating the Season of Creation each September and Earth Day each April in worship
- sponsoring events where landfill waste is minimized by using reusable, compostable, and recyclable alternatives
- transitioning our building away from the use of fossil fuels and reducing our impact on local waterways by eliminating pesticide and herbicide use
- designing environmental priorities into all new initiatives, including the discernment of adding affordable housing on part of the church property
- including Creation Justice Tips in all church newsletters
- participation with other faith-rooted organizations in our district, conference, and state
