Music Ministry at Haller Lake United Methodist Church strives to involve all church members in making music as an act of praise to God. There are opportunities to sing in the Chancel Choir, to provide special music for worship either singing or playing an instrument, to play an instrument in our wind and brass ensemble, or to lead congregational singing.
All adults and high school students are welcome to join the Chancel Choir, which practices on Thursday evenings at 7:15 p.m. and sings at the Sunday worship service three times a month, September through June. There is no prerequisite for singing in our choir. We encourage anyone who enjoys singing, whether you read music or not, to join us. The experience of singing is as important as the finished piece we present at a worship service.
Special Music (solo, duet, group)
Those providing special music coordinate dates with the Music Director and sing or play at our summer Sunday service, or (from September through June) both or either Sunday worship service.
The Brass and Wind Ensemble plays for special occasions such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter, as well as at seasonal concerts. Practices are arranged prior to a performance. Contact the Music Director if you play an instrument and would like to participate in this ensemble.
